Due to excessive heat warnings for the game Friday night, Newport and Osceola coaches and administrators have come to the following agreement.
The coaches will evaluate at halftime and have the option to shorten the second half by shortening the 3rd and 4th quarters to 10 min. This decision would be based out of necessity for the safety of our players, cheerleaders, and band members.
We would also recommend to our fans you consider any personal health issues that might be affected by the excessive heat. Please make your attendance decision based on what is best for you personally. For your convenience, the game will be live streamed on Cable 15 that can be found on YouTube and Facebook.

Due to the EXTREME heat on Thursday August 24, the Newport Golf Match has been CANCELED! It has been RESCHEDULED for Monday Sept. 11 @ 3:30 at the Newport Country Club.
Bus 12 will be running 10 minutes late this morning. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Girls Placed 1st as a Team 🥇, Isabella Delcase placed 1st overall 🥇, Layla Lindsey placed 🥈 overall, also competing to help win with the scores today were Bailey Stokes and Madison Mahan!
Boys placed 2nd Overall as a Team: Reece Kieffner placed 3rd Overall 🥉 shooting a 43. It was a hot one and the Hounds came out and played! ⛳️🏌🏼♀️🏌🏼♂️🐾

With tomorrow being the first day of the new school year, we understand there may be some hiccups with our new bus routes. If for some reason, we miss your child at a bus stop due to timing, please contact the school and let us know.
Our transportation director Ricky Morales, will need to know your address and we will be able to let you know the correct bus number and the time that it will be at your child’s stop in the morning.

Any students that was not able to attend Newport High School open house can pick up schedules tomorrow from 10-12am at the high school office. If you have a schedule request form, you may drop it off at the high school office.
Tennis meeting Monday at 1 pm at the Fieldhouse gym for upcoming 9th - 12th graders interested in playing Tennis this year.

Tomorrow, Friday, May 26, 2023, the Newport School District will not be running bus routes.
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our elementary students in Newport School District. We will have student and adult counseling services available at the elementary school to provide student services today.
Kindergarten graduation announcement: Due to the chance of rain at the time of the Kindergarten graduation, the ceremony has been moved into the HS Gym. You must have a ticket to enter. To obtain tickets you must come to the elementary office. They will not be sent home with students. Eight tickets per students will be handed out. Cable 15 will be live streaming the event on Cable 15 Facebook and YouTube pages. We will have overflow setup to watch graduation in the HS Auditorium. Graduation will start at 6:00 PM.
‼️‼️KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️‼️
Due to rain chances at the time of the Kindergarten graduation ceremony on Friday, a decision will be made by NOON ON Thursday, May 18th on the location of the ceremony.
IF GRADUATION IS MOVED IN… Kindergartners will be provided with 8 tickets for family/friends to accommodate seating limitations inside the field house. Tickets will ONLY be given out through the front office at the elementary. If graduation is moved inside, there will be overflow seating for the event live streaming in the auditorium.
