Due to excessive heat warnings for the game Friday night, Newport and Osceola coaches and administrators have come to the following agreement.
The coaches will evaluate at halftime and have the option to shorten the second half by shortening the 3rd and 4th quarters to 10 min. This decision would be based out of necessity for the safety of our players, cheerleaders, and band members.
We would also recommend to our fans you consider any personal health issues that might be affected by the excessive heat. Please make your attendance decision based on what is best for you personally. For your convenience, the game will be live streamed on Cable 15 that can be found on YouTube and Facebook.

Due to the EXTREME heat on Thursday August 24, the Newport Golf Match has been CANCELED! It has been RESCHEDULED for Monday Sept. 11 @ 3:30 at the Newport Country Club.

With tomorrow being the first day of the new school year, we understand there may be some hiccups with our new bus routes. If for some reason, we miss your child at a bus stop due to timing, please contact the school and let us know.
Our transportation director Ricky Morales, will need to know your address and we will be able to let you know the correct bus number and the time that it will be at your child’s stop in the morning.

Any students that was not able to attend Newport High School open house can pick up schedules tomorrow from 10-12am at the high school office. If you have a schedule request form, you may drop it off at the high school office.
Tennis meeting Monday at 1 pm at the Fieldhouse gym for upcoming 9th - 12th graders interested in playing Tennis this year.
