Newport Alumni Dr. Kelly McKinney came to speak to our 6-12 Women of Character on perseverance. Dr. McKinney spoke about it being okay to make mistakes and fail as long as we keep trying failure only occurs when you stop trying. WoC also recognized one of our own who will be moving soon and will be greatly missed- Mrs. Laura Freeman. Mrs. Freeman has impacted many of our students and has helped them with their education, assisting many with pursuing college. She has left a lasting impression on our young women as she is a true model of a Woman of Character.
