Newport High School is proud to announce the hiring of Coach Joseph Anders as the Head Girls Basketball Coach for the 24-25 school year. Coach Anders is a graduate of Newport High School and still has many ties to the community. Coach Anders has many years experience in girls basketball throughout his career with stops at Mississippi State, New Mexico, Arkansas, Arizona State, and other college experience as well. He has been at Warren High School for the past four years and returns home to his alma mater to lead the Lady Greyhound program into the future. We are extremely excited to have a coach with such a rich amount of experience and true passion to help students succeed not only on the court, but in life as well. Coach Anders is a true testament to the statement, "Once A Hound, Always A Hound".
