January 2023 has been declared School Board Recognition Month and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our school board members for all of their hard work and dedication to the students and faculty of Newport School District.
School board members include Heath George, Jeff Sampson, Monica Freeman, Todd Norris, Donnie Washam, Marcus Simpson, and Justin Foshee. They work hard to make sure our students have the best opportunities in education as possible. They not only attend board meetings, but also trainings, seminars, and conferences to ensure that they are aware of changes in education that will affect our students. They devote a lot of time to our school and community by participating in community and extracurricular activities. We appreciate all of the time that they put into leading our school.
