I know this isn’t the way you thought your final weeks of your senior year would be spent. I know many of you are concerned about no prom, no senior night, or no graduation ceremony. Many of you are saddened by the cancellations of spring sports, conferences you have attended since your freshman year, judging competitions and so many more events you looked forward to in the spring.
Know this, your teachers, your community, and family and friends are all behind you. We know the greatness that is within each of you. This will not define the class of 2020, it is a challenge in life to be overcome.
I commit to you that your administrators will figure out how we can make a prom happen for you, a senior night for you and your families, and we will honor you with a graduation ceremony. I can’t tell you today what the dates are for these events but be assured we will make them a reality. You have earned and deserve these.
We have helped to prepare you for college, the military or going into the workforce and these opportunities will come. We are proud of all of you and your resilience through these tough days. You all truly demonstrate being Greyhound Strong.
