From Pre K Director, Mrs. Ami Driver:

We are so happy to announce that Imagination Library has come to Jackson County.

Thanks to people in our community, Newport Preschool students will each receive one high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail each month.

Arkansas Imagination Library is a state-wide partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Arkansas Imagination Library was formed as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization in 2017 to create a state-wide program and provide resources for book-gifting affiliate programs across the state.

Arkansas is very close to having Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library affiliates in all 75 counties, making Arkansas the third state-wide program in the nation. Currently, more than 30,000 books are mailed to Arkansas homes each month.

Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The flagship program of The Dollywood Foundation has mailed well over 100 million free books in Australia, Canada, The Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States. The Imagination Library mails more than 1.4 million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to registered children from birth to age five. Dolly envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading, inspiring them to dream. The impact of the program has been widely researched and results suggest positive increases in key early childhood metrics. Penguin Random House is the exclusive publisher for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
